What sort of vehicles do
you have?
Britz is part of the largest
rental vehicle operator in the world. We have a full range of
2WD and 4WD campervans that sleep up to 6 people and 2WD and
4WD drive cars. We also operate vehicles in New Zealand if you
want to cross the Tasman and experience some great New Zealand
freshwater or saltwater fishing.
Can I collect the vehicle
from one location and return it to another?
Britz has nine rental branches
Australia-wide. It is no problem to fish an entire coastline,
for example you can start with some bill fishing in Cairns and
end up in Sydney harbour!
What should I bring on my
campervan fishing holiday?
As usual it pays to travel
light, although the vehicles provide good deal of storage space.
It is best to use soft bags rather than suitcases as you can
unpack your clothes into the cupboards and then roll up the bag
to store it away!
The campervans come fully equipped with all bedding, linen, cookware
and crockery.
Do the vehicles have roof
racks to carry my fishing rods?
The vehicles do not come equipped
with roof racks, but generally this is not a problem as there
is plenty of room inside to store rods and other gear. The 2
Berth Elite vehicle is 7 metres long and surf rods can generally
be stored inside.
Can we free-camp at our
favourite fishing spot?
You are able to free-camp overnight
in all of the Britz vehicles. Gas cookers are standard and the
larger vehicles also have auxiliary batteries so you can continue
to run your fridge overnight as well. The larger vehicles also
have shower and toilet facilities if you need to wash off the
smell of the day's catch. Then the next day a short drive to
your next spot should re-charge the auxiliary batteries.
