Albacore are common in the southern half of Australias ocean waters. They are usually found in schools following warm ocean currents in water well offshore.

Hints
Drift fishing with berley and cubed fish flesh as bait is productive. This fish is mostly caught by trolling or jigging lures, live baiting with yellowtail or slimy mackerel, or drift fishing with berley and bait of cubed fish flesh. Trolling or jigging lures also works well.
