Habitat Barracouta inhabit the southern oceans of Australian roaming the cooler waters. They are a surface feeder with mature fish found at deep offshore waters chasing schools of pilchards while the smaller fish often enter bays and harbors to feed on baitfish.
Qualities Predatorial fish with voracious, savage nature that fights hard.

Tackle
Link: 6kg. main line with a wire trace.
Hook: No.2/0 - 5/0 single or ganged.
Rig: Medium gear set with bait suspended under a float.
Hints Blacken any tackle above the hook or lure otherwise the fish may strike it cutting your line above the trace. Keep lure or bait, spun or trolled, near the surface.
