It was around lunch time and the water was runnin pretty fast because of the flooding after the cyclone but it was also very clear. I was using worms tryin to catch sum Sooty Grunter but nufing was biting so instead of fishing from the bottom i held the hook and sinker about half way to the bottom of the water near one of the bridge posts. I was only using a cheap rod one of those ones from toyworld and wen this sooty hit it went under the bridge i thort it was gunna snap but i got it up and measured it, it was about 40cm long and nice and chunky great fish.!!! |
