I arrived in Malacoota on Tuesday set up camp and bought the beer. I had my tinnie with me but the weather was so wet and wild everybody at the park were huddled in their caravans, staying dry. Wednsday morning still belting down with rain. The rain was warm so armed with my rod and a pair of shorts I went to the local wharf. I had blue bait and landed a massive salmon with the first cast. I also got large trevally, good sized Tailor, and flathead and the odd pinky Snapper. This fast action kept up the whole time I was there, I released them all except for two trevally I took back to the van for a feed. I was wetter than a shag on a rock, yet I had a great time. I really recomend Mallacoota, as the the fishos you meet there are a great bunch of friendly blokes. When the weather picks up I will be back. Cheers Seawind. |
