Team AEROGARD AFC Series IX

Hobie's Rally Not Enough to win Match Two

Team Hobie's woes continued in the second match of AFC Series IX, fishing against Team Aerogard. In fact, their situation could have been a whole lot worse if they hadn't rallied for one of the quickest limits in AFC history in the final hour of competition.

Aerogard's Babekuhl and Carter started solidly, landing a 34cm kicker fish early and chipping away at the rest of their limit. In fact, as the clock ticked over into the last hour of competition, their lead over Hobie was more than two kilograms.

Hobie, however, didn't say die and found the motherlode within the final half hour. Although they landed 6 legal fish in quick succession, their combined weight wasn't enough to eclipse Aerogard's bag.

Sitting out next week's match, Hobie leave the BREAM rounds with a disappointing 10 Championship Points.

After the third and final BREAM round, either Aerogard or BCF will take to the BASS rounds with a clear lead. Tune in to make sure you don't miss any of the action.
