I grew up fishing for trout with my dad and grandfather, in lakes Jindabyne and Eucumbene. Although trout fishing is a big part of my life, I also have fished the south coast of NSW for years. From soft plastic fishing in the estuaries, to in the last 5 years fishing for marlin and Tuna. I also do all types of bottom bouncing for kingfish, snapper and flathead.
In the last 12 months I have been targeting the Murray Cod, and finding out how hard they can be to capture. I also target golden perch on a regular basis.
I’m always looking for new things to try on particular species, but I love going back to basics when nothing else seems to be working.
On a weekly basis I will be covering vast areas of the south coast, from Ulladulla to Eden. I will also be covering Canberra and its surrounds in great detail.
At peak times I will be covering certain areas more specifically, Such as the tuna/marlin seasons the bigger fishing events such as the Mulwala Cod Classic.
I'm in regular contact with some great guides and tackle shop owners in and around Wagga Wagga, therefore I'll report back the action from these areas. I know many knowledgeble people up in the snowy mountains region from Jindabyne to 3 mile dam, to Thredbo River, so I'll fill you in on these area also.
