Beginner Tier II Fly Swap   Beginner Tier II Fly Swap
Many people are reluctant to participate in fly swaps because they think that their tying is not up to scratch - In fact, all tiers are welcome to participate in all swaps, but for the novice, this is probably a good starting point. Be as bold or as cautious as you like.

The Tiers Pattern Comments
1. Darby Wilcox Brown Moth A meaty blackheaded moth with delicate wings. Looks like a tasty feed that just fell onto the surface. Should do well on a pond, stream and upper estuary backwater.
2. Jay Wharram Wobbler Minnow Good All round Fly - for saltwater & freshwater.
3. Alistair McBurnie Buller Caddis From only seeing a picture of this fly in a NZ catalogue I tied my own version and can only say, this nymph catches fish.
4. Grant S Billy's Big-eyed Deceiver Woohoo I am in....
5. Vic Smith Black & Orange Marabou Looks a simple but effective fly. (I'd better not miss out on my own swap had I ?)
6. Barry Jacobson Geehi Beetle pattern.
7. Tim Davidson Tims Black Surprise This is a fly I tied to show a friend how easy it was to tie flies. It works well on bream and flathead.
8. Kristilee Carter Chartreuse Gotcha A easy pattern for a beginner to tie and catch most Esutary Species on with only a variation in size.
9. Emily Carter Emily's Jiggler A top swimming action fly for catching the bread and butter species off jetties and rock walls or for catching live baits like yellowtail scad and other schooling species.
