Damsels & Dragons Fly Swap
Odonata-not a medieval fairytale but an excellent choice for
targeting large trout and warm water species. Tie any stage of
their development from the bottom-dwelling dragonfly nymph to
the elegant adult damsel and anything emerging in between. |

A.P. Dragon Fly Nymph |
This is the pattern I generally use when dredging
the bottom for large trout. It's accounted for many trout both
here and back in Canada. |

Damsel Nymph |
Pretty standard nymph but it works well in still
water. |

Dragonfly
Spinner |
Good top water fly for large warmwater species.
May take a trout or two in a lake situation. |

Brown Damsel Nymph |
Fairly stock standard but extremely effective
on large rainbows in weedy lake environments. (hope its not too
boring for you guys). |

Plaited
Damsel Nymph |
A neat fly I just bought to copy of for this
swap, I haven't fished it yet ( bath tub tested) but with its
extended tail free floating from the shank it definately gives
a great wriggle when retrieved which i imagine the trout will
just love. |

Dragon-X

One of the most realistic dragonfly nymph patterns
I have found. |

Mono-eyed
Peacock Nymph |
This damselfly nymph features eyes made from
nylon monofilament line and a peacock herl thorax, hence the
name. It is a collage of features I have seen on other patterns,
including a Marabou tail and rubber legs. |
