The Tiers Pattern Comments
1. Richard Carter Emu Squid A Whyalla Fly Tying group creation. Scored some emu feather while taking the kids to an animal park, I spent the whole time picking up feathers while the kids ran from pen to pen to pat the animals. Fly has a great swimming action that so far has proved irresistible to flathead, snapper and small kingies.
2. Grant Marshall Seat Cover Slimey Just a small slimy mackerel pattern using some material I was given that looks like the fluffy seat covering material found in a Monaro. It has lots of movement and can handle the toothy critters. Caught macks, bonito , tailor and pike in Sydney Harbour on this little fella.
3. Jay Wharram Mungo Shrimp I have never tied this one before but I am sure it give it my best shot.
4. Robert M Morger Rattlin Minnow Good all around fish immitation fly. Try it for any bait chasing fish. Can be tied in many color combinations, a quick and easy fly you won't feel bad donating to the fish Gods if they so will. The Yank
5. Kevin McDonald White Deceiver After much discussion, the 'white deceiver' makes its' way to the Aussie Fly Swap. Although Deceivers are tied in many colour variations and sizes from size 6 right up to foot long offshore flies, this one is Lefty's original pattern to catch stripped bass back in the fifty's.
6. Andrew White Blue Wooly Bugger Have found this simple to tie fly catches a range of fish from bream to whiting.
7. Danny Raven Bucktail Charlie This is the first fly I tie on when fishing the rocky shorelines of the NT. If there are any Queenfish or trevally in the area, this is the fly that will nail them.
8. Richard Carter Silicone Bunny .
