Flathead Pattern II Fly Swap
Summer time is flathead time, starting in Spring with the movement
of the large breeders to early Autumn with lots of 40 - 50cm
males abounding over most estuary systems. A fantastic species
to begin your fly fishing on, also one that provides enough challenge
to even the most experienced fly fisher. Sign up with you flathead
pattern now. |

White
& Grey Benback |
A simple but effective pattern, losts of movement
and life on the retrieve that flathead cannot resist. |

2. Robert Morger |
Grey 3D Mullet |
Was in the first swap. Have to be in this one. |

3. Russell
Marsh |
Bent Head |
It's not the right name but the fly is designed
to ride head down tail up across the bottom to imitate a foraging
bait fish. |

4. Steve
Cratchley |
Clouser Minnow |
A nice lightly dressed fly which flathead's find
irresistable, but then so do most anglers. |

Blue & white Deceiver |
This is one of the first flys I ever bought and
I like it I have changed it a lil bit but not too much ... a
great lil fly! |

Weedless Green Thing |
No its not a Pink Thing variation. It is large,
heavy & designed to get thru weed beds without fouling, whilst
getting right in amongst the weed. |

Prawn |
My variation of the numerous prawn patterns. |

Green Troll
Fly |
This is one of the only flies i have had success
with on the flatties. I hope someone else has a bit more luck
than me. |

Flathead
Food Item |
This fly works well in South Coast Estuaries.
It has caught Tailor as well as Flatties so an additional very
light short wire trace can be added. |
