Hook : Size 4 Mustad 34007 (can use size 6).
Thread :
Danviles flatwax white nylon.
Eyes :
Bead chain.
Head :
White chenille.

Baited Breathe

Tying Instructions
1) Take maribou, a small amount, to form the tail (about 1.5 cm wide for the finicky).
2) Tie maribou in about halfway along hook, tying in to the point of the hook directly above point.
3) Take your chenille, tie in at eye, then wrap to point above hook, then wind to halfway along hook.
4) Tie in bead chain eyes at this halfway point, using the chenille to tie them in. Make sure they are halfway, for balancing.
5) Take chenille to eye, then form a small nose/snout with the thread, tying in the chenille.
6) Tie off.

Fly Notes
Use variations of colour. Try olive, black, yellow or pink (soft, not fluro).

Fishing Notes
Jerky stripping, not too fast. Even, slow, stripping.
Target species includes Salmon trout, mullet, general estuary type fish.

Location Notes
Estuary, saltwater.

Prey Notes
Resembles a small squid, or a small fish, depending upon stripping technique.
