Bent Head Baitfish Saltwater Hook : Mustard 34039 No.1. Thread : White flat waxed. Eyes : Small lead. Tail : Fluoro green and white bucktail. Wings : Grizzly saddle hackles.
Tying Instructions 1) Bend 10mm of eye end of hook 50 degrees in towards the gape of hook. 2) Place in vice, tie in the lead eyes on the eye side of the bend you just made. 3) Tie in white bucktail in behind the eye of hook then tie it off behind the lead eyes. 4) Turn the hook over in the vice and add some flash tie in at the head only. 5) Now add the fluoro green bucktail one and half shank lengths and tie off at head. 6) Place a grizzly saddle each side of the head tie in and whip finish.
Fly Notes
Fishing Notes Let the fly sink to the bottom and strip and pause to imitate a foraging baitfish. Target species is Flathead.
