Billy's Big-eyed Deceiver Baitfish Saltwater Hook : Mustad 34007 - any size you like (I used a size 1). Thread : White waxed. Eyes : 4mm hologram (black and silver). Head : Whip finish and epoxy. Tail : 6 plain white hackles, 2 grizzly saddle hackles, Krystalflash. Wings : White bucktail Krystalflash.
Tying Instructions 1) Lay in a base of waxed thread. 2) Tie in 3 matched white hackles on each side of the hook. 3) Follow with 2 grizzle hackles. 4) Tie in a dozen stands of Krystalflash (or similar) on each side of the hook. 5) Tie off and glue. 6) Tie in white bucktail and Krystalflash to form a sparse over wing and underwing. NOTE: Wings are tied in approx. half way along the shank of the hook. 7) Tie in hologram tape so you have somewhere to stick you eyes on. 8) Stick eyes on. 9) Whip finish and epoxy the head.
