Black Chenille Mudeye

Tying Instructions
1. start by winding on a black chenille body from the bend of the hook to about half way along the shank. Don't cut off the chenille.
2. Tie in one or two rounded black hen feathers, flat over the back, extending just beyond the bend to form wing cases.
3. Use another black hen feather to form a soft, sparse, swept back hackle just forward of the the middle of the fly
4. Tie the nylon eyes across the hook in front of the hackle and then wind the chenille around them a couple of times in a figure of eight and once in front before finishing off.
5. Dab a bit of varnish around before squeezing the chenille flat between your fingers - the chenille compresses well, giving a nice flat body, while the bit of varnish holds it in place.
