Tying Instructions
1. Place hook in vice and lay a bed of thread starting just behind

small bunch of polyprop yarn, take your thread back to where
you finished the body.

towards the eye.
6. Tie off and whip finish.

Fly Notes |
Fishing Notes
I generally fish this fly on a floating
line with a long leader and a weighted nymph on the point with
the blood worm suspended 30-40 cm above on a dropper. This particularly
effective on a breezy day when you can use the breeze to give
you a natural drift over the weed beds. Takes will generally
be a subtle tightening of your line.
Targeted species, Brown and Rainbow trout. |
Location Notes
This is a great fly for searching
deep over weed beds in lakes with high midge populations, or
near the surface during a midge hatch. It can be fished either
on an intermediate sinking line or floating line with a long
leader. |
Prey Notes
Imitation of a blood worm, can be
tied smaller or larger to suit local species. |
