Tying Instructions

The tying is fairly straight forward, it is a normal nymph pattern. I just add a little flexi cement to the wing cases to toughen them up a bit.

Fly Notes
This fly was a spur of the moment creation after I found some nymphs that appeared to be grey in color in the stream I was fishing. I have only used this fly on 3 trips and it has taken fish on all three trips. It also caught a mate of mine his first trout on fly. ( it was fished under a royal coachman ).

Fishing Notes
Just fish off a long leader with either an attractor dry fly or a strike indicator in swift unbroken water.
Target species is Trout.

Location Notes
The only times I have used this fly is on the freestone streams around the Eucumbene area. Fished deep along the bottom. Can also be tied with a bead head for extra weight. Both styles have taken trout for me.

Prey Notes

Generalist, mayfly nymph pattern. Can also be fished off a greased leader as an emerger. Just put some floatant on the wing case.
