Dark Skip Nymph
Nymph Freshwater

Hook : #12 0r #14 heavy wire-add lead if desired (as in this tie).
Thread : Brown.
Body : Dark Brown Seals Fur (or Mink as in this tie version).
Tail : Brown pheasant tail.
Rib : Copper or gold wire.
Wings : Wing case other half of pheasant - tail.

Tying Instructions
Tie on lead and tie in wire dub to 4 eye widths back from eye and tie in pheasant tail. Then draw down tail fibres and tie down with wire toward eye to segment and wrap a few turns of wire at thorax to eye space. Now dub thorax and draw front end of pheasant tail over as a wingcase whip finish and cement.

Fly Notes
Originally tied by Skip Morris USA- who designed this fly as a cross between and best aspects of a Gold ribbed Hares ear and Pheasant Tail.

Fishing Notes
Weight should be ok for all but faster riffles where shot can be added - about 18" from Nymph is best, which a strike indicator far enough along leader to allow for depth (ie:4'for a 1' depth).
Target species is trout.

Location Notes
Cast up and let drift down feeding lanes, riffles etc.
