Tying Instructions
1) lay down a good bed of thread and stop at the bend.
2) tie in four saddle hackles and one grizzly saddle hackles
on each side.
3) tie in four strands of krystal flash on each side.
4) work the thread forward and tie in lightly coloured bucktail
under, around, and on top of the feathers.
5) tie in a larger amount of darker bucktail on top to provide
a contrast.
6) attach a small amount of red material (I use rabbit) under
the body to represent the gills.
7) build up a reasonable sized head and tie off.
8) glue a diamante to each side of the head.
9) prepare a small amount of clear epoxy and apply over the eyes.
carefully build up the epoxy until it completely covers the eyes,
and shape the head - this involves spending five minutes of trying
to defeat gravity, unless you have a drier. |

Fishing Notes
If the deceiver is tied lightly then
casting is easy, while providing greater action. |
