Fly Notes

Fishing Notes
Targeted species, this fly, yet another wooly bugger variation, was designed to target Steelhead (sea-going rainbows) on the West Coast of North America but other Aussie species of fish would no doubt be attracted to this pattern.

Location Notes

Prey Notes
Although an attractor pattern designed to entice the aggressive nature of returning steelhead this pattern could be mistaken for (with a little imagination) juvenile marron, mudeyes, or leeches.
The bead chain eyes serve several purposes. They add a trigger for a fish to hone in on; the added weighted up front provides the fly with an undulating retrieve when "strip-pause-strip" is employed. They also add a subtle flash to the fly.
