Fly Notes

Basically a Bendback Clouser Pink Thing with a yellow belly. Tied from sizes 8 for whiting to 3/0 for Flathead and even for Barramundi.

Fishing Notes
Target species Flathead mainly but also trevally, bream and other estuarine species. With flies in smaller sizes Yellowfin whiting have been known to accept the offering.
Cast up current of weed patch or drop offs, stripping long even strips with current over edges and drop offs. Occasionally pause stripping allowing fly to touch the bottom thus sending up a puff of mud or sand like a feeding whiting, mullet or prawn may do.
Standard saltwater leader needed. You can add a 6" - 12"shock tippet to your leader, to compensate for the rough mouth of a flathead, if desired.

Location Notes
Leading edges of weed patches. Sandbar drop offs and deeper channels.

Prey Notes
Generalist pattern, but can be suggestive on standard retrieval method of baitfish. On slower retrieves suggestion of prawns.
