Green Caddis Worm

Tying Instructions
1) Lay down thread.
2) Tie in a tag of olive marabou or the fluff from the base of a olive saddle hackle.
3) Tie in micro chenille, silver wire and peacock herl.
4) Wrap four fifths of hook shank with chenille.
5) Tie off and trim chenille.
6) Twist peacock herl into rope and tie down with wire.
7) Tie off and trim wire and herl.
8) Tie in grizzle hackle.
9) Form collar with hackle (two to three wraps).
10) Tie off and trim excess hackle.
11) Form tapered head with thread, tie off and trim excess thread.
12) Give head generous coating of head cement (one or two layers).

Fly Notes

Fishing Notes
Usual cast to sighted trout, with no retrieve, but effective on slow figure 8 retrieve in still water. In streams cast to free drift near weed banks and the end of pools where the water starts to ripple.
Target species Brown & Rainbow Trout.

Location Notes
Fished around weed beds and sandy patches in lakes or in streams too.
