Tying Instructions
/ Cover shank with thread then make 5 or six turns of lead down from the hook eye and secure.
/ Tie in vinyl rib at rear of hook.
/ Burn one end of string to form lump for the head.. secure with wraps of thread leaving the lump just back from and under hook eye. Paint It yellow.
/ Cut two small wedges out from the end of a partridge feather about 5 mm long.
/ Attach on underside near hook eye with thread the bits of partridge wing to form legs. You will need to hold the wide end and tie in the steam tip ( pointy bit ).
/ Wind vinyl rib forward to be level with the legs , now hold out both legs parallel to each other but at right angle to the hook shank and wrap between them once then past the second feather, forcing them to stick out from the shank like legs, paint them yellow with marker and fray them around a bit.
/ Tie off at head and paint thread yellow to match plastic string head. Varnish head.
