Green Troll Fly Baitfish Saltwater Hook : No.6. Thread : White. Head : White tying thread. Under Tail : White troll doll hair. Over Tail : Green troll doll hair. Wing/Eyes : Grizzly tips along side of body.
Tying Instructions 1) Start thread. 2) Tie in a small bunch of white troll doll hair about half way along hook on the bottom. 3) Tie in a small bunch of green troll doll hair along top of hook. Attach a half inch long grizzly hackle tip along each side. 4) Build up a head with thread and whip finish.
Fly Notes
Fishing Notes The best retrieve is to work the fly slowly and a fast strip and a pause every few meters. Target species include bream, flathead, tailor, salmon.
Location Notes I have found that this fly works best along sand bars and along rocky outcrops.
Prey Notes This fly represents a small baitfish that is often around where I fish.
