Fly Notes
Can be tied with a thicker thorax
and head of your choice of dubbing materials and methods. Legs
another option. |
Fishing Notes
Floating line long leader, late evening
use. Get yourself an El Cheapo SLR camera flash. Placing the
fly in your cupped hand, give the fly a flash from the camera
flash - avert your eyes so you don't lose your night vision.
Casting out into lakes and retrieved slowly with a figure eight
retrieve.
Target species includes, Trout, Australian Bass. |
Location Notes
Gaps in weed patches where mudeyes
come ashore to emerge into dragonflies. Cast into and beyond
these gaps. A slow retrieve through which back to shore will
hopefully see you with tight lines and some lively fish on the
end of them.
Look for a cove with a gentle slop, some bank side timber, rocks
and a soak for the best results. Look under limbs of trees for
mudeye shucks for an even better indicator of the last nights
hatching place. |
