Fly Notes

Fishing Notes
When fishing this Bead Head, I find the use of a reasonably long tippet crucial (ie at least 80 - 130 cm) as I believe it assists in its presentation. I fish this fly with a 0.12-0.15mm Diameter tippet (0.047"-0.059"). It should be allowed to drift along the edge of the fast water and then retrieved in the back water with very small jerky movements.
This fly fishes well when trout are feeding on small snails and stick caddis.
Caught Rainbow, Brown & Brook trout using this fly, but I am sure it could be used to catch other species.

Location Notes
This fly seems to work best where moving water meets backwater, with medium to low water depth. It can also be used in lakes, but I have had more success with it on rivers.

Prey Notes
