Tying Instructions
1. Introduce chenille rear of hook,
build up an oval abdomen, tie off at the 2/3 mark.
2. Tie in overwing, pull forward to bring it in line with rear
of body.
3. Continue with chenille to shape head.
4. Whip finish or half hitch to finish. |
Fly Notes
Can be tied in any colour, matching
overwing brown. I Hungarian partridge for overwing. I have
found dark olive the best. Can be used as a beadhead. Add beadhead
to final tippet and push onto hook eye. This makes a single fly
double purpose. |

Slow figure 8 retrieve. Target species
is Trout. |
Location Notes
Weed banks, timber, morning or evening.
Look for spent mudeyes on timber/banks. |
