Tail :
Deer hair.
Palmer :
Red/Brown hackle genetic saddle.
Body :
Lime green Antron.

Deer hair.
Hackle:
Grizzle cock hackle.
Head :
Orange Seals fur or Antron.

Tying Instructions

1) Tie in thread at rear of hook.
2) Prepare deer hair so hair tips aligned.
3) Tie in tail, trim excess.
4) Tie in palmer hackle.
5) Dub onto thread your main body material.
6) Make even body for two thirds of hook shank, tie off, trim excess.
7) Palmer body, tie off, trim excess.
8) Prepare deer hair wing so hair tips aligned, tie in wing extending to start of tail, trim excess.
9) Form tapered head with deer hair butts.
10) Tie in Grizzle hackle.
11) Dub orange head material onto thread.
12) Form head.
13) Palmer with grizzle hackle.
14) Tie off, trim excess.
15) Tie off thread, trim excess.

Fly Notes
Variations include. Body of a royal coachmen (peacock bumps with red silk/floss in the middle and peacock herl for head, hackles the same). All Yellow, a black version for night work, a calf tail wing for better visibility.

Fishing Notes
Use a floating line, a long leader and a fine tippet ,adding a little floatant if required but only to the top of the fly so it sits in the water no on it.
Target species is Trout.
