Fly Notes
Got this fly from an article by Peter
Morse on 'Wool Flies' (ref Saltwater Fishing Issue 5, p108).
Substitute HiVis for the body material as it holds less water
than 3D wool flies. Worked on a few yellowfin tuna so far. Tried
it on the southern Blues while working in South Australia but
really didn't spend enough time doing so to show any real results. |
Fishing Notes
Start up a berley trail of pillie pieces then drift out the fly
amongst the berley pieces. Look for leader or fly line movement
for the take.
Target species include any pelagics that feeding in a pilchard
piece berley trail e.g. Mackerel, Tuna. Estuary species can also
be enticed to take this fly while the tidal current is running
too. |
