Pistal Pete Other Freshwater Hook : Mustad - 9674 or Tiemco 9395 size 6. Thread : Black 6/0. Head : Size 2 prop blade - black bullet head. Tail : Black marabou with three or four pieces of sliver flashabou folded in half left long. Rib : Copper wire. Hackle : Black saddle.
Tying Instructions Tie the flash in the tail long, at least half an inch longer than the marabou. Don't crowd the bullet head, leave room for the prop to spin. Adjust the prop spin by pushing back on the bullet head a bit, until the prop spins freely.

Fishing Notes This fly casts and sinks like a rock. The prop spins on the retrieve or in a slight current. I caught two nice Smallmouth Bass in slightly murky water below Varick powerdam. Targeted species, Smallmouth Bass, This similar to an old Brown Trout Lure that used to be sold in the western US.
