Rattle Shrimp Crustacean Saltwater Hook : 34007 1/0 Mustad Thread : Nylon - white for pearl mylar, Olive for gold mylar. Eyes : Lead dumbbell eyes, can be painted later. Tail/body : Mylar tubing with glass or plastic rattle within. Underbody : Gold braid. Body : light coating Epoxy. Underwing : White Bucktail krystal flash (pearl Mylar version only). Middle wing : Krystal flash to match mylar tubing. Overwing : Darker bucktail topped with optional peacock herl.
Tying Instructions For gold version. Tie in thread at eye of hook, attach gold body braid, attach one end of mylar tubing at hook eye. Wind thread to hook bend. Tie in lead dumbbell eyes. Wrap shank with gold braid, tie off behind eyes. Insert rattle into tubing. Tie off mylar over lead eyes, then fray end of mylar. Cut off thread. Apply a light coat of epoxy. Once epoxy dried tie in some gold krystal flash. Tie in some dark Buck tail. A light nail polish covers thread after tying off. Optional to paint eyes on ( I didn't have time)
