Fly Notes
Got this one from an American magazine,
had a little success on NSW rivers spawn run rainbows. I think
smaller and lighter would suit the local rivers better as this
was designed for big Alaskan fish and rivers.
Brother to the tequila bugger. |
Fishing Notes
Being a heavy fly. it needs a stiff leader to cast it and at
least a 5 wt. Fished as with any normal attractor with rod tip
lifts or twitches on the drift to bring it to life , a slow strip
and pause in still water works too.
Targeted species, trout, mainly rainbows. |
Location Notes
This is an Alaskan steel head pattern
for fishing rivers upstream or up and across or down and across. |
Prey Notes
Its an attractor / lure type fly designed
to elicit aggressive responses from pre spawning fish. |
