Fly Notes
Variations in zonker strip & mylar tubing colour will work. Substituting just pearl mylar for silver is a good one.
Weighted version can be made by wrapping lead under body material or by making fly with a beadhead instead of a thread head.
Not too bad in saltwater for South Australian Salmon & Tommy Ruff either is size 6 or 4 Mustad 34011.

Fishing Notes
Specifically for targeting smelting trout. Very good bright day, clear water fly.
Target species primarily Trout. Can be targeted on any baitfish eating species, just adjust size accordingly.

Location Notes
Shallows where large trout are chasing smelt. Retrieve over drop offs or near edges of weed patches.

Prey Notes

Baitfish profile fly.
