Tying Instructions 1) Tie the fly as you would for a normal streamer pattern with a tail of yellow hackle fibres. 2) Then tie in the zonker strip at the front and secure from the rear by winding the gold thread through the zonker strip. Tie off at head and then tie in the yellow throat fibres.
Fly Notes
Fishing Notes Use a long leader of around 12' with a fairly heavy but section. When you see the Golden Perch mooching around the weed beds cast the fly down fairly hard as close as you can near them. Then immediately pick the fly up and cast about 4 foot past the now stirred fish and strip back with short sharp pulses. Target species are Golden perch and Australian Bass.
