fibers is cool).
3. Tie in about 50mm of fine copper wire for ribbing, ( on dark
flies I use silver tinsel).
4. Dub on some Olive Seals fur (again I use a substitute).
5. Run dubbed thread to about 5mm from eye.
6. Tie in 3 peacock herl strands (for thorax).
7. Tie in about 6-7mm long , 2mm wide strip of polystyrene foam
(will be trimmed later).
8. Wrap peacock herl up behind foam and tie in.

Fishing Notes
Fish light, degrease tippet, drift
with the wind. If you need to, a small figure eight retrieve
works best. On the odd occasion a full & fast as you can
strip will often take shy fish. Don't know why, never seen a
nymph swim a 40kph, but it works and is a great adrenaline rush
when you get a wake up behind the nymph.
Mainly a trout fly, but use wherever fish are surface feeding
on local insects. |
Location Notes
Use wherever there are cruising or
sipping trout. |
Prey Notes
Chironomid, bloodworm imitation when
tied red. |
