Hook : Streamer
hook 3x long down eye, size appropriate to target species.
Thread : Black 6/0 - 3/0.
Tail : Black marabou.
Body : Peacock herl.
Hackle : Black dyed grizzle.
Back & head : Thin black foam. |

Tying Instructions
1) Lay down thread, advance thread to hook bend.
2) Tie in tail material.
3) Tie in one end of foam strip - foam approximately width of
hook gape
with foam extending over tail.
4) Tie in hackle by the tip.
5) Tie in several pieces of peacock herl.
6) Advance thread to hook eye and back 1/5th of hook shank length.
7) Twist herl in to rope and wrap hook shank to thread bobbin.
8) Tie off and trim excess herl.
9) Palmer body with hackle.
10) Tie off and trim excess hackle.
11) Fold foam over body and hackle.
12) Wrap loosely the foam with the thread, then tighten thread
to cause end of foam to raise.
13) Trim excess foam, head to be the length of the hook gape.
14) If head is not raised wrap thread a few times in front of
foam to make it so.
15) Eyes optional and can help raise head - use burnt mono ones
if you do.
16) Tie off and trim excess thread. |

Fishing Notes
Cast out let all ripples subside,
strip to form a "V" wake let sit again. Short strip
to pop fly interspersed with irregular length strips and long
pauses.
Target species includes, Trout and bass. |

Basically and attractor pattern but could be taken for a lizard,
a crashed insect, or a cricket. |
