Mudeye Fly Swap
I have caught trout that are so full of mudeyes that they are
crawling out of their mouths as I am removing the my mudeye imitation.
Our Australian lakes are full of mudeyes, to have a few mudeye
patterns in your fly box is a must because of this. A fierce
predator itself which swims via water jet propulsion. Let's swap
some mudeye flies, so our boxes have some variety next time we
are trout fishing late in the evening. |

Black
Chenille Mudeye |
An impression of a mudeye rather than an exact
match, but fished in the right way at the right time it works
as well as any. |

Deep Green
Mudeye |
fishing the wollondilly river NSW one october,
we found heaps green mudeyes in the two trout we caught, i took
home a sample and tied a fly to suit the conditions, the main
point being it had to get down in fast water as well as look
good. The next weekend we caught heaps on the new fly. |

Booby-eye |
Mudeye pattern based on UK style 'booby' series
of flies consisting of large foam eyes and buggy body. Intended
to fished on a HI-D line with a short leader. Can be fished with
confidence over weed beds as the beyes are very bouyant. |
