Top End Fly Swap
The Holy Grail of most Australian anglers would be a trophy fish
from The Top End. Threadfin salmon, Saratoga, Barramundi &
Golden Snapper are just a few of the species available at places
like Cape York, Kakadu, Corroboree Billabong or The Mighty Daly
River. All of these species & places plus more attract these
intrepid adventurers. Regardless of were you stay or how you
get there, If you don't have the right flies, at least the scenery
is good. Bull!. If there's water you gotta fish it, what fly
would you tie on? |

Good large profile weedproof pattern, so no problem
casting in amongst lillies, reeds & grass. |

I'm new to Northern Flyfishing and keen to hear
tips on how the various fly's in this swap should be fished. |

This fly has been used with great success on
tropical species, everything from jacks to barra to queenies
& the GT's off Fiji love them. |

Black & Barred |
IMO a more productive barra fly than the pink
thing, particularly if fish are feeding on small mullet. Tied
the same as a Pink Thing only all black. |
