I need help!!!!
For some reason my navman wont recognise cmap. It will only let me zoom in to 3 nautical miles. Is there any setting i should be adjusting? Also if i have plotter selected i can zoom in but i only get a white screen!
any help greatly appreciated!

Hi
I think it depends on where your map is some of the map detail was only detailed for larger images and when in plotter the map is turned off its useful for anchoring up on gps marks due to the map not having enough detail
thats if i understand you question
cheers

Thanks for that prod but its not the problem, the gps wont zoom in it will only give me a 3 nm zoom of port phillip bay when with the cmap you should be able to zoom into say 0.1 or 0.2 so you can see whats around eg channels, pylons etc but mine wont do this
cheers
taree_connection.
ps.. it used to do it but now it wont!

Yeah port phillip should be very accurate and detailed but mine in plotter mode always reverted back to white with grids but i could get down to a few meters.maybe reload the map.good luck .i actually reckon they were a great unit i had mine for years and it served me well new fangled one just makes it more complicated especially fuel etc .

Really notice it when on udder boat there's a nice big 10 inch Fujitsu which details evey contour & i've been told the latest C-Map is even more detailed.

Then you get in the smaller boat with that dreaded raymarine & it sucks no matter how many times i tried resetting contours & it's got top of range card in it.

Smaller boat is one i really want contours esp when i'm SPee'n for snappy toms & have to rely on tranfering marks from Fujitsu.

Well there's now a Fujitsu on smaller boat & the Raymarine has found a home in the 4x4 where it's best suited.

J B, shouldnt the gps recognise the c map as soon as its turned on and allow you to "read" the info off it without having to go into files and change things? I had a navman 538I before this and I cant remember changing any settings. You wouldnt know where to find these files JB because ive gone over this gps 3 to4 times now and cant find anything in regards to selecting map areas
thanks for your help
