Ok, yes yes, we all know Port Stephens is going off its t*ts right now.... but, due to circumstances beyond my immediate control this weekend I am stuck in Sydney.
I'll be heading out for a 3/4 day on sunday and would appreciate any knowledge of confirmed reports from the Sydney area.

Pretty sure everyone with a boat is either at Port, or on their way! _________________

Even though altimetry readings are typically more accurate in deep water, there has definitely been a sustained downwelling near Sydney (not a positive thing). If I were you guys, I would be working the eastern edge. Hope this helps.

Yep.... radio chatter would suggest you were right.
I didnt get out past 70f.... later than expected start with young kids on board and wasnt able to do a full day offshore... but it sounded like there were a few solid blues and some stripes encountered beyond 300m, and to the south.
Water from 40-70f was between 24.5 - 25.1, with stronger current in closer, notably around the northern FAD. Only very small patches of bait spotted near the bottom, but otherwise not much life seen.
Next weekend.... blue hunt! _________________ How's the serenity.... |

| A few blues have been in shallow water lately, and why wouldn't they be there with all the food that's in close, got to eat. |
