Firstly a qualification. Nothing contained herein relates to time spent in a Boat on the water.
I was recently referring to a fishing publication which is personally signed by the Author. The inscription reads " Captain Wobbles - To the King of the Green Can - many happy days ".
The passing of time sees more people stating " what do you drink that rubbish for ".
There is certainly a bad smell on flipping the lid but , cold an in can , it goes down very well - guess I will just have to keep on Wobbling.
All that naturally brewed stuff and so on does seem to have the same attraction.
Might be totally unrelated but , on a recent fishing trip involving 5 older blokes , I was the only one that did not have to get up during the night - yeah, was capable if the need occurred

VB tastes ok, but it must have some dodgy ingredients as I will wake up the next morning with a bloody headache. I think this is due to the chemicals / preservatives in cheap beer.
I drink Coopers, it is brewed in the bottle, a bit like a home brew. No preservatives, no additives - just a bit of dead yeast in the bottom.
I can easily polish off a whole carton whilst out fishing / camping then wake up the next morning ready for another. If I was to sneak in 3 or 4 VB / Carlton cold etc I am buggered the next morning
I havent really drank much in 4 years but never really was much of a drinker anyway. Have done the Russian thing though with the vodka. Cant say no to some relo's.
On a hot day like today I will have one beer though. VB, cant even swallow one gulp as it feels like acid water. I will drink some boutiques especially german. Highly recommend Knappstein out of the smaller breweries or Endeavor. _________________ I am an idiot and a liar.
Aparently who ever just bought Fosters has vowed to return VB to the top
again. When they reduced the alcohol in VB they changed the recipe, and
stuffed up the taste....hence everyone stopped drinking it ,including
myself, but as I said, the new owners want to return it to the drinking
mans beer again....I hope they do !!!

Timbo Timbo Timbo.... VB has always been sh*te so changing the recipe could have hardly made it worse
Anyone tried Matilda Bay "Beez Neez" bloody fantastic drop, a little dear but worth it.
Interesting that Rum has not made its way into this My Engel seems to get surrounded by Bundy this and Bundy that these days . A bit to sweet for me but , have been known to have a Bundy Lime & Dry late at night on the basis of mistaken identity with you know what
On the last fishing trip , the other blokes brought along Gay Mountain Rum , or something like that , which was a bit of a worry , but , all is well , at least as much as I can remember. _________________ An open mind beats an open tackle box
