The Alsakan pack would be great for winter fishing in VIC-TAS. |

Hilta, I have the same highest quality clears and a rubber extrusion across the top of the screen to stop water coming up under the clears when I cop one over the front, very water tight. Also 2 zip outs just like yours BUT try driving 30k's at 5am in morning in the dark with zip out open so I can see idiots anchored without lights on etc. I even wear a full face balaclava in winter and I had to stop one morning and take 5 mins out as I actually got a ice cream headache. Thats how bloody cold our winter mornings are in Melb and then let it rain. zero to 3 degrees
Radar overlay should be a god send I reckon.
too often in the dark boat turn on lights at last minute only or some moron ina 14 ft tinnie starts flashing a torch around as he has no lights. Too many close calls. _________________

| Rib My man, I am in Tassie so you dont need to tell me about cold!!!lol always thought you Victorians needed to Harden UP!!!!! Seriously i know what you meen, i have been lucky enough to spend 4 months of our winter in QLD th last couple of years, know that is getting close to perfect, then you dont need a hard top!!lol Only thing wrong know is to do the distances out of 1770 i bought a kevlacat thinking i would leave the seafarer in Tas and have the Cat up there but know "she who must be obeyed" Wants to travel elswhere for the winter!!! Hence there will be a good kevlacat 2400 for sale soon!!! Bloody boats, just cant seem to find the perfect one for all uses!!! Regards Mark |

I think it would be a misguided assumption to think that early morning mist on the clears is not a problem with glass also.
Getting out very early on those bitterly cold mornings still presents frost challenges on glazed boats.
For the older members, it's a bit like getting out in the EH Holden early in the morning, wiping the inside of the windscreen with a rag then opening the quarter window to get the breeze happening....

we always take the front clear down if we are drifting to quick, you cant do that with a hardtop.
but i can see your point |
Yes agree but often hardtops have sliding windows.
PS the curved glass is this one piece or made in sections.
I do like lock up cabin, great for staying out of the cold when out at night, great for storage/security (just put the expensive gear in the cabin rather than removing from the boat) and handy for women who need privacy when going to the toilet. |
we can do it a few different ways including 1 piece but its very expensive and no slider.
if your referring to my post regarding the lock up cab, i was talking about a full lockup cab with a wall Aft not the forward birth.
lock up birth should be standard on a boat of this caliber.
P.S in my experiences opening side windows don't really slow it down. |
Sorry my misunderstanding thanks for clearing that up. |
