One fishnet member who used to post here a bit a couple of years ago
made his debut for the Demons today age 24 (James Magner)
I took him out to catch his first snapper about 6 years ago
Nice bloke who never gave up his dream to play AFL at the top level
I wish him well.

Not a bad 1st round of footy. Some close games & some good skills showed early in the season. Bombers snuck in

Last night the Wife is telling me that Scarlett should get LIFE

I looked at her side ways, WTF for?

'Because he's a paid professional. He's a role model to hundreds and thousands of junior footballers. It was barbaric. He threw a punch in front of everyone with no regard to his professional position in the community'.

Me & the 2 boys (who are both playing footy. One Under 18's the other under 16's) laughed and said ' it was a BRAIN FREEZE, Scarlett doesn't normally go around punching people’'

Wife then said to me 'So is it ok for the boys to start throwing punches when someone is peeing them off?'

Feeling like I was going to lose this debate I said 'Of course not. But LIFE? How about a 6 week suspension?'

Wife says 'If I did that at work or in the supermarket, I'm hardly going to get 6 weeks; more like a criminal record and a law suit'
Now feeling defeated I shrug my shoulders and say 'Yeah I guess so'
