Purchased my BC560 before the Barcrusher launch recovery mechanism was available and now contemplating a retro upgrade during next service. Would appreciate any feedback from users regarding the pros and cons of the new system. Thanks in advance for your feedback

I used the barcatch system on Wingas boat couple months ago
dead easy , even wife could use it
I have used other systems on my boats but the barcatch works really easy
I would carry a spare occy strap incase some kid steals it at ramp is all _________________

I used one last sunday on Heathc's 680wr
was so simple. what a great trailer set up
but i agree the rubber strap is a bit too easy to steal
carry a spare occy.

Thanks for the feedback and advice regarding the Barcrusher supplied Barcatch Launch and Recovery system. Thinking that I will always remove the Occy strap when I park the trailer.

Have been thinking of doing the same. Have you got any prices as yet for the unit including the new bracket welded to the boat

Hi No ..... have not followed up yet but expecting the fitted cost to be in the $500 to $700 range. Does this sound reasonable?

Only trouble is you still have to get out at the waters edge to release chains and winch strap so you are really no better off

Haven't seen the barcrusher version but the BoatCatch I have on my rig is great and you don't have to keep everything connected till the final launch. With two its super simple in and out, I always enjoy driving onto to the trailer, hearing the solid clunk of the pin engaging, switch off the donk and start trimming up as the missus drives the rig out of the ramp, do the whole thing in 30 seconds! _________________ So many fish, so little time... |

No matter what brand u have , I would never unhook safety until in water
Never dropping my boat on the ramp
One bounce on the ramp could be all it takes to drop the boat _________________
