Actually quite simple got to remember when i built the 5.6 i also built 2 id hulls for a couple of mates after test runing the 1st was quite happy with it's performace keep same specs for the 2nd one
After that mine was easy i knew what i wanted droped floor level & a few other tweaks & ended up with pick of the 3
Weight pretty easy mainly because this particular hull is so stable prob had 2 much weight aft in that boat mainly due to fuel tank 160 litres below deck LBT another 100 litres there & the 4 banger on the back but only when more than 2 on board
Weight wont be an issue on this one going with hard top to counter act + an extra foot or so in length steering will be 4ward as well

water line ect ect.
Water line is on the 1st pic i posted & very accurate on all the goats i've done prob drop it 50 mm again my theory is lower to water better hull will perform not as privy to weight tranfer by those on board moving around

but it will hav twin 115 4S on it. To compensate for the extra weight & Hp we had to change the hull shape to get the same proformance specs.
Alot of HP & added weight for a 6.1 meter hull weight performance wise wont be effected different story on anchor or drift esp when you get a couple of guys out back
Put it this way i'm runing twin 115 4 bangers on the back of the 7.2 which is really a 7.6 by other boat standards & a 8.2 by Bar Crusher standards
I tucked in the nose couple of reasons think long noses are a waste of time & rig complies with council requirements & i can leave it parked on the street
Those donks came off my previous 6.7 meter & that boat sat low in the arse whilst drifting
Was a bit worried @ the time motors were only a couple of years old didn't want to fork out for 150 hp's so went with them since getting rid of CR box boats top end speed is 36 knots proped with 17 P's has more than enough torque to handle any sea i've encountered & i'm not a pussy fishing the yucky stuff.
6.1 is not a big boat & you're putting alot of weight on the arse not sure changing hull shape will have an effect boat will still drop in the arse
Again only purchased the 115 hp merc a couple of years back really want a 150 hp but will see how the 115 performs on the back B4 looking into the bigger motor _________________ **************************

Yeah it is a lot of HP for a 6.1m hall but it's really about a 6.5m on standard boat length and 7.2 on barcrusher standards. .
I guess having 2 navel architects at my disposal can come in handy when we want to do things out of the norm. At least we go to the length required to make it work properly un like some others builders. The 2 boats should sit the same in the water with the twin rig being slightly more stable at rest.
Not allways a science with goats esp the smaller ones
All might look well on paper, test well BUT then comes the fisho factor
Recall looked for every excuse there was back when i completed big goat re tidied up everything polished things up 2 or three times
3 or so weeks later finally grew kahoona's & launched it
Not that impressed thought it a bit of a lemon
Then on 3rd trip out finally gave it some stick instead of baby'n throatles
Different boat alltogether & why i often say boats have to be driven to make them perform _________________ **************************

And now, the end is near,
And so I face the final curtain.
My friends, I'll say it clear;
I'll state my case of which I'm certain.
I've built sum goats -
They'll travell each and every highway.
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.
Mistakes? there was a few,
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.
I planned each charted course -
Each careful step along the byway,
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew,
When I bit off more than I could chew,
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way.
I've cut, I've welded and ground,
I've had my fill - my share of losing.
But now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.
To think I did all that,
And may I say, not in a shy way -
Oh no. Oh no, not me.
I did it the Jumpus way.
For what is a man? What has he got?
If not himself - Then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way.
You're a wally Spud
That's carpy's log spliter he & homer built it together pretty sure i saw one exactly the same in that shed of yours is that where you took the pic
