I am supposed to be hitching a ride out of Portland saturday with an uncle.
I am an inland fishermam mainly,so not an experienced rolling ocean person. What will the conditions be like saturday/sunday out of Portland? Saying 10-15 knots SW saturday, that would equate to pretty ordinary conditions wouldn't it? |

Will also be on VHF 10.
Worst forecast is 15knots so conditions will be OK. Monday looks like the pick. If you even think you might be remotely seasick take out an insurance policy called "Travacalm Original".
Martin, good luck for your young bloke catching his first SBT. Great sight seeing them bust up also. My young bloke is still recovering from being crook as a dog at Bermi in Feb! _________________ Cheers,

Well I hope you guys caught fish.......we didn't. Fished Pt. Fairy Sat and Sun.
Plenty of boats out, and busy at the ramp with additional boats from Portland and Warnambool.
Sighted plenty of fish with birds working, wouldn't hit a lure.
Seems many missed out, small amount of fish on the tables compared to the number of boats.
However, our neighbours in the cabin next door (Andy, Jake, Chris) caught fish every day and were kind enough to send some our way. Great sashimi dinner last night and again tonight.
Well done fella's on finding lure hungry fish! _________________ Cheers,
