I was wondering if any of you experienced wonderers out there could give me some feedback on my newly purchased solar setup. I'm yet to test it but some feedback on similar setups would be great. I have 2x 85w suntech solar panels 170watt total), 120a/h sunxtender auxilary battery with Steeca 15amp regulator for the purpose of running one 40ltr Engel on freeze for esky ice and one 40ltr Engel for food purposes (max 2.5amps each with duty cycle) . The purpose is to leave the Engels running 24/7 so i hit the frog and toad directly. wink-fish.gif

Depends on what part of the frog and toad you are on really as most solar panels rely on that main ingredient wink-fish.gif The set up you describe sounds pretty good. We run a 75amp hour thumpa from the home of 12 volt as mentioned. We carry a 80 watt solar panel upgradeable to a 120 watt at anytime and find it hard even in the most extreme of cases to wear the battery pack down. If we are not camping in a national park or up the flinders ranges on a private property we prefer to run the Yamaha 4 stroke gennie as the wifey loves her electric blanket on the camper trailer laughing-fish.gif
