large gurglers and dhalberg divers work really well, I also reckon the HATCHLING would be an awsome fly. _________________ If it feels good....., do it!!!

Try a "Mouse" Fly OR a Large Frog Pattern
Google is not sure how to tie / Also look on Ebay.com.au - Had some mouse flies for sale last week
Feedback results if you use.

Have a look at these. I myself would tell a friend to buy them from here rather than sit behind the vice for that long lol

Parra
I've seen those Kaos numbers - they look like half a chicken has been welded onto a boogieboard!!
Seriously they have about $20 worth of hackles on them - very high quality.
My cod flies consist of 3 to 4 inch Fat Boys of varrying weights tied on 4/0 SL12's. Things I call Megga Buggers - just large wooly buggers and the good old deciever.
I mentioned in another thread herabouts that it is a good idea to keep a couple of packets of disposable ear plugs in your kit as these can quickly turn any of the above into surface/sub-surface flies quickly. |

hi
I,ve been using white marabou for a long time when i first seen flies tied in Field and stream early 1980's
must photo some when i have the time
i tie a red wool body gold ribbed and gold bead head ,then three up wing tuffs of marabou . i also tie them on tandem hooks which work better then long shank single number four
because there are three tuff tied in with the base folded over they last longer and give much more movement in the water .
i use two tippets one with the white marabou and the other with green seals fur gold ribbed nymph,NSW allows three hooks and tippets
used up all my white marabou so i ordered some from Feathers ar 66 cents a packet, which is about twenty flies per packet _________________ some days my post get deleted |
