In Queensland you don't need a label holder, here they are rego "stickers" that you just stick directly on the boat or the trailer.
As trailers and boats are not cars they don't make them to be put on the inside of a windscreen. Car rego stickers here are made for inside car windscreens and boat and trailer stickers are made to be put on an outside surface.
Surely it can't be that hard to work out for our southern government departments?

Think those dept's are related to julia goofball
They give you a rego sticker for a trailer identical to that of a car
it adhere's to writing side so if you use those el cheapo sticker holders 6 months down the track you have no rego sticker & can get booked they charge $18 i think for a replacement

OK here is mine.
Sold up and moved...
Went in to get my drivers license renewed (few weeks out from expire)
I got the new address on the new license.
Then I said, could I replace my boat license please, so it has the new address as well?
Girls says NO we just send a sticker in the post for that!
So I said, "Oh" OK, then she muttered if you lose it or damage it we replace it with a new one and new address listed on it ...
Not sure why, but this seemed stupid. So I responded with, " But I would like both my license to reflect my address, save me explaining to water Police that I moved and my license has the old address. She said NUP couldn’t do it.
So I went out to the car and cut my license into bits. Went back and told another guy next to her I had lost my license and need it replaced.
They took my photo and I got my new boat licenece. (She kept looking at me but never said anything because I was dealing with the guy)
After all was completed I handed her my cut up license bits, and said , "Oh" accident in the car park.... (with a smart ass look on my face)
Am I a prick? Yeah can be, but this just seemed bloody stupid to me and she was a bit rude anyway….
F+++ck it was like the scene from Trains Planes & Automobiles with Steve Martin at the rent-a-car place...I felt BLOODY good!!!
