Of a 2 peice Sage LE 9'0" 5W .

My story of how I destroyed the top half would'nt wash with Sage's Life Time Warranty .... I think confused-fish.gif

I attached the fly rod to my trusty fishing cart behind my bike but unfortunately mistimed a corner and that was that.If I took apart the rod it would have been ok but being lazy and trusting the fishing cart confused-fish.gif well unhappy-fish.gif

I'm sure Sage will replace the tip no questions asked !
I replaced one of my Sage tips twice last season laughing-fish.gif
No questions asked but handing over $80 each time was painful though well worth it happy-fish.gif
Good luck in getting her a replacement tip !

Matto,

Shame about the rod but good to hear you have a sense of humour about it happy-fish.gif I'm sure Sage would have no issues at all. A friend broke their sage in a car door and it was replaced.

I've heard a lot of horror stories about Loomis, I have 2 Loomis Rods, hope I never have to claim on warranty. Is the issue with loomis the distributor here in Australia?

Dunphys has it all here, to be frank I think the product has gone backwards. The expeditor warranty was the main selling point to many, break a GLX write cheque and get a new one for $200, all others was a $100. I must confess to being a sage man but in saying that I have a few glx spin rods with recoils on them, as well as glx streadance hl in 6 and a 5, a whisper creek as well. I want to get rid of the 6wt as I just don't use it, oddly though my fav little creek rod is a dirty old 7ft 4 wt glx the old grey one, geez that has landed me some trout.

Well I've always been a G-Loomis person but I'm slowly leaning towards Sage and we just got my son a Redington Pursuit 4wt Combo (for his first fly rod), which for a budget rod & reel is amazing. Mind you my 7ft 3wt StreamDance is the rod I like best for little creeks etc
